The Armament Inspectorate announced that the Technical Dialogue procedure, concerning the process of acquiring the IFF systems for the vessels of the Polish Navy, is going to involve seven entities, including the current manufacturer of the IFF system in Poland – the PIT-RADWAR company.
Meeting the deadline indicated by the Armament Inspectorate of the Polish MoD, 31st May 2017, the following companies have submitted their proposals to take part in the technical dialogue:
Polish PIT-RADWAR S.A company, based in Warsaw;
Polish Poland – U.S. Operations Sp. z o. o. company, based in Warsaw;
Polish Thales Polska Sp. z o. o. company, being a subsidiary body of the international Thales company;
Polish SILTEC Sp. z o. o. company, based in Pruszków;
German Hensoldt Sensor GmbH Germany company;
US Raytheon company;
Spanish INDRA company.
Among the aforesaid seven entities, five have their own, proprietary IFF solutions in production now, two of them (Poland-U.S. Operations Sp. z o.o. and SILTEC Sp. z o.o.) will probably act as intermediaries in sales of foreign IFF systems. Only one of the above-listed companies, PIT-RADWAR S.A, belonging to the PGZ Group, remains a manufacturer of IFF systems in Poland.
The Armament Inspectorate is now going to proceed to analytical and conceptual phase for this task, for the purpose of obtaining the information required to make an optimal decision pertaining to this matter.
