Rosomak S.A. Will Deliver Recovery Vehicles For The Polish Army
Rosomak S.A. company informed that an agreement has been concluded with the Armament Inspectorate. According to the contract, the Polish Army is going to receive new equipment – a heavy recovery vehicle, which is going to be operated, inter alia, together with the Rosomak APCs.
The agreement, the aim of which is to realize the contract signed by and between the Armament Inspectorate and the Rosomak S.A. company, has been signed on 9th November 2015. The said agreement constitutes a concluding event related to a tender procedure, covering procurement of 27 examples of heavy recovery vehicles. The value of the deal is said to reach PLN 199 million. In order to finalize the agreement, Rosomak S.A. company concluded another contract with Scania Power Poland and Cargotec. The vehicles are going to be equipped with HIAB specialized recovery kit, based on the Scania platform.
The new 8x8 vehicle will be equipped with a crane, lifters, winches and armoured cabin. This type of vehicles is going to be used to provide technical support, within the scope of operations carried out by the heavy military wheeled equipment, such as the Rosomak APC.
Manufacturing a vehicle of this type will make it possible to further develop the cooperation between the facilities of the Polish armament industry, that are already collaborating within the scope of the initiative, the aim of which is to provide logistics-related support for the Rosomak armoured personnel carriers. The vehicle is going to act as a complementary measure, constituting an added value to the similar vehicles manufactured by the Jelcz sp. z o.o. company. As it has been stressed by the President of the Company, Adam Janik, procurement of such vehicles shall make it possible to expand the export offer of the Rosomak S.A. company.
