Airbus Defence and Space has signed an agreement with the Polish Ministry of Defence, concerning the acquisition of a comprehensive CASA C295M flight simulator. C295M is an airlifter that has been operated by the Polish Air Force since the early 2000s.

The aforesaid training system is expected to be delivered by the end of this year. The agreement announced on 27th January also covers provision of training for the instructors and the Air Force personnel, the members of which are going to maintain the simulator in operation.

The simulator is going to be delivered to the training centre located at the 8th Airlift Base in Cracow, where 16 C295M airframes are stationed – so far, this has been the largest fleet of C295M in the world. The new hardware is to make it possible to train up to 40 crews per annum.
