Rising Star From Poland

Piaseczno-based Creotech Instruments company, a pioneer of the Polish aerospace and space industry, was awarded with a distinction in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranking, gathering the innovative high-tech companies of the Mid-Eastern European region, the development of which is realized at the fastest pace. The Polish company was ranked fifth, in the “Rising Stars” category.

Piaseczno-based Creotech Instruments company, which one of the leaders of the Polish aerospace and space industry, was awarded with a distinction in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranking, gathering the innovative high-tech companies of the Mid-Eastern European region, the development of which is realized at the fastest pace. The ranking is created on the basis of the income increase ratio. The Polish company was ranked fifth, in the “Rising Stars” category. According to the Deloitte company audit, revenue of the company, within the analyzed period, between 2011 and 2014, has gone up almost four times - the increase value is 389%. The aforementioned Deloitte ranking is going to constitute an element of the “Global Technology Fast 100” report, which is bound to be published in Mid-November 2015.

Grzegorz Kasprowicz, PhD, one of the founders of the Creotech Instruments S.A. company, referred to the results in the following words:

Throughout the recent years, we have been able to make significant progress on our way towards large and independent space initiatives. We have attained a number of European Space Agency certificates. Currently we are a company which has attained the highest level of readiness in Poland, when it comes to the space-related projects. In 2016, a Martian ExoMars mission is going to begin, and our company has been responsible for some of the works related to that operation. More, and more demanding, and far more significant challenges and projects are appearing in front of us. We look towards the future without worrying about it.

Creotech Instruments company is currently realizing a variety of space exploration programmes. The Piaseczno-based enterprise contributes to the Mars research programme, which is being realized within the framework of the ExoMars mission realized by the ESA and Roskosmos agencies. For the purpose of the above project, Creotech Instruments, using the only assembly “Clean Room” in Poland, which meets the ESA requirements, realizing the Polish Academy of Sciences order, assembled the elements of the power supply system for the CaSSiS camera which is capable to take high-resolution photographs of Mars. The aforesaid equipment is going to be installed on the Trace Gas Orbiter probe, the launch of which is scheduled in 2016.

The company is also involved in construction and assembly process regarding the components required to realize the “ASIM” experiment, on the International Space Station. The aim of the initiative is to conduct research related to atmospheric pressure discharges in the top layers of the Earth’s atmosphere. Creotech Instruments is also going to create a CCD sensor for several Earth-based telescopes, the purpose of which is to monitor the potentially dangerous objects in the vicinity of Earth, such as the asteroid, with 500 meters of diameter, which is going to pass close to our planet soon. The equipment is going to be useful also for detecting and tracking so called “space junk”, posing threat for the spacecraft and satellites.

It is worth to add that 12 Polish companies have been ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 ranking. Second place has been taken by Romania, with 10 companies on the list, while the third position on the podium is occupied together by Slovakia and the Czech Republic (5 companies in each of these countries). The “Rising Stars” category was dominated by the Polish enterprises, taking 7 out of 12 positions.
