Polish Miecznik Frigates to Get VLS for CAMM
The PGZ Group announced that another, key memorandum was signed within the scope of the Miecznik-class frigates (Project 106 vessels). The announcement was made via the company’s X (formerly Twitter) social media account.
The memorandum signed by and between the PGZ Group, and Lockheed Martin pertains to the Mk41 VLS (Vertical Launching System) missile launchers, including the ExLS (Extensible Launching System) modules, for the CAMM family air defence missiles.

According to the PGZ Group, the future Wicher-class (Projekt 106) frigates would receive four launchers, 8 chambers each. This would mean that 32 launchers in total would be available on board. Each of the VLS launch containers can host from 1 to 4 missiles, depending on the missile type.
