PONAR Wadowice is part of the supply chains within key Polish defence programs. The company manufactures a wide array of hydraulic systems, including complete hydropneumatic suspension modules used in Krab howitzers that have been polonized. This adaptation was an important step in enhancing PONAR’s capabilities, not only in production but also in designing and implementing systems. PONAR has also developed hydropneumatic suspension modules for the New Amphibious Infantry Fighting Vehicle (NPBWP Borsuk) and the new version of the LPG platform (Light Tracked Chassis), used as command vehicles in the Regina modules.

At the Kielce fair, PONAR showcased, among others, the WHP35L/P hydropneumatic suspension arms, which act as shock absorbers in the suspension of the Infantry Fighting Vehicle’s chassis. These arms can also be used in tracked chassis suspension for other military vehicles. The hydropneumatic arm structure can withstand 900 bar of pressure during continuous operation, and the design ensures complete external sealing and resistance to water immersion and salt fog.

PONAR Wadowice also demonstrated components used in anti-aircraft systems in Kielce. The first of these are positioning actuators installed in Bystra radars, used for leveling the sensor. Another component comes in the form of the WREM sectional valves, part of the hydraulic power system for the mobile long-range 3D radar “Warta”

These valves are intended to control the actuators that raise the main antenna, unfold the main antenna wings, raise the IFF antenna, and unfold the IFF antenna wings.

Components for container systems on vehicles were on display in Kielce as well. These include rotation actuators for supports, which are part of the hydraulic system used for unloading containers from a base truck, lifting, and leveling the container. The container hydraulic system eliminates the need for a crane to load and unload containers. Another component is the control block — an integrated solution used to control the movement of the hydraulic actuators in container leveling systems.

Hydraulic components used in the turret system of the howitzer and power supplies used in the cab tilting system of Jelcz vehicles were also showcased at MSPO. PONAR Wadowice’s broad portfolio is a testimony to the company’s involvement in the supply chains of heavy combat vehicles, artillery systems, radars, and container systems. The Wadowice-based company’s versatile solutions are used by various branches of the military, and the company has the capability to develop new systems and expand production capacity based on user demand.
