According to Thales Alenia Space Polska Andrzej Banasiak, a large strategic programme, such as own satellite, could have a positive impact on development of the Polish space sector: “At the moment, the space industry is quite fragmented. There is a need of having a main strategic programme which would centralize the efforts for some specific purpose, and it seems that a need of having own satelliteEarth Observation or research satelliteis justified, particularly in the light of the existing needs of the public administration or the Polish Ministry of Defence” - as Andrzej Banasiak says.
