Changes at the Key PGZ Group Companies
Supervisory Board at ZM Bumar-Łabędy S.A. dismissed Edyta Szymańska as the President of the Management Board, along with Vice-President for Technology and Manufacturing, Roman Czempik.
As the company stated in a press release, until the appointment of the new President of the Management Board, the company’s supervisory board has entrusted Sławomir Jagosz, a Member of the Management Board for community relations, with the duties of CEO. As the PGZ Group stressed, responding to questions asked by Defence24.pl, the competition to select the new Board Members and President has not been arranged yet.
Edyta Szymańska has been the leading manager at ZM Bumar-Łabędy since September 2021.
The Bumar-Łabędy plant, in consortium with PGZ, is currently implementing the Leopard 2PL upgrade programme for the Leopard 2 main battle tanks. The facility also supports the operational use of Leopard 2A4 tanks and legacy combat vehicles belonging to the Polish and Ukrainian Armed Forces. Various options are being analyzed, when it comes to the involvement of ZM Bumar-Labędy in new modernization programmes.
This is yet another change in management at one of the key PGZ Group companies. Jan Szwedo was dismissed as the President at HSW on 13th June. The duties of the President are performed by one of the newly appointed board members, Wojciech Kędziera.
On 10th June the Supervisory Board at WZL nr 1 S.A. dismissed President Marcin Nocuń, along with Board Members: Jarosław Gawryś, and Bartłomiej Kacperczyk. Until the moment of appointing a new President of the Board, the Supervisory Board of the Company made Board Member Maria Bocheńska an interim president. The competition aimed at selecting the new Board Members and President has not been arranged yet.
