From 3 to 6 September 2024, the 32nd International Defence Industry Exhibition (MSPO), one of the most important defence industry events in Europe, will take place at Targi Kielce. Almost 600 companies from 32 countries have already confirmed their participation, whose presentations will be placed at an exhibition area of an impressive 30,000 square metres. The Ministry of Defence has extended invitations to 38 countries to attend the event. MSPO will be held under the honorary patronage of Polish President Andrzej Duda. Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) is the strategic partner of the event.

The International Defence Industry Exhibition at Targi Kielce has been attracting exhibitors and visitors from all over the world for years, providing a platform for the exchange of experience, the presentation of the latest technologies and the establishment of international business contacts. The event provides an excellent opportunity for defence industry companies to showcase their latest products and services, as well as to establish strategic partnerships.

„A record-breaking edition of MSPO awaits us. Russia’s aggression against Ukraine is causing tensions across Europe. It is clear to all of us - society, economy and politics - that we need to increase defence spending. Our government is allocating a record 4% of GDP for this purpose”, says Dr Andrzej Mochoń. „The needs for equipment and supplies will grow, which translates into a great interest in the fair. I believe that this interest will not diminish, even if the war in Ukraine ends. The friction between the superpowers and political blocs will continue, and we have a decade of increased defence spending ahead of us”, adds the President of the Kielce Trade Fair Board.

Jubilee Armed Forces Exhibition

During this year’s edition of MSPO, a unique jubilee will be celebrated by the Armed Forces Exhibition. The exhibition will be held under the theme ’25 years of Poland in NATO - 25 years of security«, which will emphasise the importance of Poland’s membership of the North Atlantic Alliance for national and international security. The theme provides an excellent opportunity to showcase the achievements and progress made by the Polish armed forces within the alliance. Elements of the exhibition will include a mission town, a patrol boat and a snowmobile. Every year, more than 1,000 Polish soldiers take part in the organisation of the exhibition.

Signed Contracts and Agreements

During last year’s MSPO, a number of important contracts and agreements were signed, which had a significant impact on the development of the Polish defence industry. Among the most important transactions, it is worth mentioning contracts for the supply of modern defence systems, cooperation with international partners and agreements for the modernisation and upgrading of existing military equipment. These include cooperation between MESKO and the Armaments Agency for the supply of ammunition to the Polish Armed Forces, agreements between PCO S.A. and VIGO S.A. for the development and implementation of cooled IR matrices for production and marketing, and a number of agreements signed by PGZ.

Further significant agreements are expected to be signed this year, including the long-awaited contract for the delivery of K2 tanks, which is expected to strengthen the combat capabilities of the Polish armed forces. This contract includes both the delivery of new units and technology transfer, which will contribute to the development of the Polish defence industry. This strategic agreement is one of many to be concluded at this year’s MSPO, underlining the importance of MSPO as a key platform for negotiating and finalising important deals in the defence sector.
