The 1,000th FlyEye UAV has been manufactured at the WB Group’s plant. The FlyEye UAV is the most advanced system in its class. It has been designed in Poland in its entirety, and it is also made in Poland. FlyEye has been combat-proven in the toughest battle conditions, during a high-intensity conflict. The WB Group is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of unmanned platforms.

The 1,000th FlyEye UAV was rolled off the production line in mid-March (3.x version). The high number of systems delivered over a brief period serves as a confirmation of the rapid expansion of the WB Group’s manufacturing potential. This also builds the Group’s reputation as a manufacturer - an entity that can timely deliver even large quantities of UAVs.

The FlyEye system has been developed by the engineers of the Gliwice-based Flytronic company, a part of the WB Group. The FlyEye is the most advanced system in its class. FlyEye can conduct operations at night and during the day, even when the communications or GPS signals are jammed.

The FlyEye system has been designed by Polish engineers and is also made in Poland. FlyEye has been combat-proven in the toughest battle conditions, during a high-intensity conflict. The UAV in question is highly survivable, with the best mission success track record out of all UAV systems that have been deployed in operations since 2015.

WB Group has all rights related to the FlyEye system. It is a proprietary solution. This allows the company to manufacture and export any number of UAVs, the same applies to the unlimited upgrade and modification potential. Moreover, the FlyEye UAV system is also being operated by the Polish Armed Forces and by the Border Authorities, and armed forces of other countries.

FlyEye is an electrically powered motor glider of small size, which makes it hard to spot it. It also offers long endurance. It can be used for battlefield surveillance, directing artillery fire, as an RF relay, in a border patrol role, or as an asset for monitoring critical infrastructure.

The UAV is powered by a silent electric motor but flies as a glider most of the time. This virtually eliminates its acoustic signature. The folding propeller also diminishes its RCS.

The FlyEye UAV is also distinguished by its almost vertical hand-launch capability. The UAV does not require any extra launch or landing amenities. It thus entails a very low logistical burden. The whole system can be carried in just two backpacks. It can land in austere areas, with space constraints.

The FlyEye UAV carries a mission package that features, in its most common variety, an EO sensor. The use of visible light/IR spectrum camera makes it possible to detect and identify the targets and transfer the targeting data to the TOPAZ BMS operator station.

The system can feature a transponder, or EYEQ Air AI module that makes it possible to analyze the captured imagery onboard. This makes it possible to conduct missions in conditions, in which the battlespace is saturated with ECM assets. FlyEye can also act as a flying relay for the PERAD radios. In that way, the SILENT NETWORK comms suite is established.
