Space industry falls well within the “Plan for Responsible Development”, which is being implemented by Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, as we were told in an interview by the Ministry of Development Secretary of State, Adam Hamryszczak. Hamryszczak noted that the industry has a positive influence on implementation of numerous innovations in some other branches of economy, such as information technologies, telecommunications or energy industry.
Space sector creates a strong bond between the science and business sectors, and also with the government administration. Besides that, space industry also has an impact on innovations within the remaining sectors of the Polish economy. Here, I mean mainly the IT, communications and security sectors, along with the environmental issues, energy industry, or issues related to banking.
The Deputy Minister also outlined the Ministry’s plans pertaining the works regarding the Polish stance which is to be adopted for the needs of the ESA Ministerial Council Meeting: “Above all, within the upcoming period, we are willing to focus on defining a proper stance for the meeting of the ESA’s Ministerial Council, which is planned to take place in December.
Harmyszczak also emphasized the role of the Polish stance, within the scope of the consultations pertaining the European space strategy, which are planned to be carried out this year. Besides that, Polish voice will also be present during the consultations pertaining the European space strategy. Deputy Minister encouraged all parties that may be interested, including businesses and other public administration sectors, to join the Ministry of Development and collaborate in the above-described area.
