The Armament Inspectorate of the Polish MoD is currently involved in a technical dialogue, related to the acquisition of a set of contamination detection systems. What the procurement process is going to be about, and who has submitted the relevant participation requests?

The Armament Inspectorate announced that it is willing to carry out a technical dialogue concerning a contamination detection system in early February.

The submission deadline has been postponed twice. First, to 30th March, then to 17th April. The dialogue itself has been postponed as well, to 30th April. The Inspectorate also officially announced that dates and forms of the meetings with the qualified entities would be arranged individually.

Undoubtedly, this has been caused by limitations stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Major Krzysztof Płatek, spokesman for the Armament Inspectorate, responding to our inquiry, provided us with a list of entities interested in the technical dialogue described above.
The entities mentioned above include:

  • Kafar Bartłomiej Sztukiert;
  • Astra Concept Sp. z o.o.;
  • PIT-Radwar S.A. along with the Polish Military Institute of Chemistry and Radiometry;
  • Saab AB;
  • Pimco Sp. z o.o.;
  • Chema Sp. z o.o.;
  • Ibcol Sp. z o.o.;
  • Rheinmetall Military Vehicles GmbH.

The acquisition of contamination detection systems is one of the key procurement procedures allowing the Polish chemical elements to maintain their potential. The technical dialogue is expected to be interesting, as the equipment currently used by the military in that domain has become quite obsolete.
