Warsaw Offering a New Stance Regarding Nuclear Weapons: Would Berlin Accept It?

Jacek Siewiera, head of the Polish National Security Bureau, speaking to the German DPA outlet, said Poland is willing to increase its share in the NATO Nuclear Sharing scheme. He noted, however, that the above does not necessarily translate into the deployment of nuclear weapons in the Polish territory. Is Poland seeking a nuclear compromise?
The interview with Jacek Siewiera published by DPA has been republished by Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung for instance. "Poland would be potentially ready to expand its share and cooperation within the framework of NATO nuclear deterrence, and take some responsibility", the head of the National Security Bureau said. He added that the above does not refer to the stationing of nuclear warheads in Poland.
