HSW was invited to partake in a negotiation process regarding support vehicles for the Polish K9 howitzers. The procedure has been underway for a couple of weeks now. After the agreement is concluded and implemented, nine K9A1 squadrons would receive support vehicles in a configuration aligned with the one adopted for the Krab howitzer Regina modules.

Brig. General Artur Kuptel, head of the Armament Agency, announced that a relevant inquiry was placed with HSW, regarding the support elements for fire modules, during a Polsat News interview recorded as a part of the Defence24 Days conference coverage.

This pertains to nine squadrons (more than 200 howitzers). The delivery of those vehicles will result in the fire modules being equipped with command vehicles (light-tracked platform), ammunition carriers and electronics and armament repair vehicles (Jelcz trucks as a base platform). The performance contract to which the negotiation applies would make it possible to provide the K9A1 squadrons with support vehicles similar to those that remain at the disposal of the Regina elements using the Krab platform. HSW S.A. is the supplier, while all vehicles, just like the howitzers, will be fitted with the Topaz command system, manufactured by the WB Group.
