Earlier it was mentioned that Germany will provide Ukraine with 14 Leopard 2A6 Main Battle Tanks, while Poland will provide Ukraine with 14 Leopard 2. Germany has more than 300 Leopard 2, including approx. 200 Leopard 2A6 in various variants, about 19 Leopard 2A5 and more than 80 Leopard 2A7V. Ultimately, 104 Leopard 2A7V will be delivered until the end of 2023. Poland has less than 100 Leopard 2A4, 45 Leopard 2PL (in total 142 of those, Leopard 2A4 are being upgraded to Leopard 2PL) and 105 Leopard 2A5.

At the same time, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told Canadian CTV News, that Poland is going to send Ukraine 60 "upgraded" tanks, 30 of them PT-91 Twardy, besides Leopard 2. It is thus likely that besides approx. 250 T-72M/M1/M1R shipped to Ukraine last year, another 30 T-72M1R will be sent, along with 30 PT-91 Twardy and those Leopards.
