Polish Abrams Company Engaged in Critical Training
As the 1st Armoured Brigade stated via its X account, certification of the first company that received the new main battle tanks is underway now.
Currently, the 1st Armoured Brigade operates one, full main battle tank company operating the M1A1FEP (Firepower Enhancement Package) Abrams MBTs. The company uses 14 vehicles - 3 platoons, and 4 main battle tanks each, along with MBT for the company commander and his deputy.

The company would undergo a fire certification at the Nowa Dęba range, being supervised by the US Army, and following the standard Abrams MBT crews training procedure.
The Polish Armed Forces currently operate 40 M1A1FEP main battle tanks, 26 out of which are undergoing the so-called deprocessing - inspection checking their condition and compliance with the documentation, following a long shipping process.
The remaining 76 examples out of 116 M1A1FEP MBTs ordered shall be delivered to Poland by the end of this year. The first out of 250 M1A2SEPv3 MBTs ordered (currently in production) are expected to be delivered in late 2024, despite the delivery deadline set as 2025-2026.
