13 subjects expressed their will to participate in the proceedings. 9 of them have been qualified as the Armament Inspectorate states.

According to the order of placed requests, the following companies have been qualified:

1. Diehl BGT Defence.

2. MBDA France.

3. IAI Systems Missiles And Space Group Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd.

4. Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace AS.

5. MEADS International Inc.

6. Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd.

7. Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. [Polish Armament Group]

8. Thales Polska Sp. z o.o.

9. Aselsan.

The technical dialogue is to be carried out between 12th January until 12th March 2015.

Earlier it had been stated that the proceedings related to procurement of the Narew SHORAD system are to start in 2016. Such systems are to be capable of destroying aircraft, helicopters, UAV’s and cruise missiles at distances of up to 25 km. They are to replace, inter alia, the modernized Kub and Osa systems.

According to the current document which defines the plan of technical modernization of the armed forces, the Polish Army is to receive 19 Narew batteries until 2022.
