200 Guided Training Bombs For The Polish F-16 Fighters
The Armament Inspectorate of the Polish Ministry of Defence initiated a tender pertaining procurement of 200 guided training bombs, for the Polish F-16C/D Jastrząb fighters. The offers will be accepted until February 11th 2016.
The procurement procedure is related to training rounds that may be used to conduct training, pertaining the application of the GBU-12B/D Paveway II and GBU-24(V)1B Paveway III bombs, which are a part of the Polish Air Force’s inventory. The deliveries are to be realized for the 31st Tactical Airbase in Poznan-Krzesiny and for the 32nd Tactical Airbase in Łask, in two lots, with 100 examples per lot, within the term until October 2017 and 2018.
The offers related to the above-mentioned tender are going to be assessed with the weighted methodology, with 90% of the assessment related to the price, and 10% to the bomb’s term of possible use. Final request placing deadline, related to the requests for being included in the proceedings, expires on February 11th 2016.
The detailed technical specification is going to be contained in the terms of reference provided to the contractors, however we may assume that the specification is going to be uniform with the data coming from the 2014 technical dialogue, in the light of the fact. that the training rounds would have to be compatible with the SNIPER pods and the JTAC laser target markers. Moreover, it is required that the same mission preparation stage would be realized with the training round, in comparison with the live ordnance. Finally, the cockpit interface should also be the same, as in case of the GBU-12B/D and GBU-24 (V)1/B units.
